UniSA Hodgkison Prize in Architecture

Hodgkison continues its support of student excellence through the annual UniSA Hodgkison Prize in Architecture. The 2014 prize was awarded to Waleed Moughraby at the University of South Australia Student Prize Ceremony held in December.

Waleed’s design for a Hospice, Plant Science Research Centre and Public Retreat within Sydney Harbour utilises architecture to address the elemental relationship between people and their environment. Anchored on Sharks Island, the building’s “presence” as a landscaped platform within the harbour creates an extension of the island’s topography whilst retaining much of the island in its delicate natural state. We congratulate Waleed on an exceptional design scheme demonstrating strong integration of technical and environmental elements.

We would also like to take this opportunity to wish all our valued Clients and Industry Partners a Happy New Year and all the very best for 2015.
