Congratulations to Wani Chan, winner of the Hodgkison Graduate Prize in Architecture 2019 for her outstanding Aerotropolis Oceanarium project. This includes the hybrid design of a unique three storey oceanarium and lap pool within the boutique hotel, a sophisticated MoMa with an elegant evacuated glass tube façade and a water resilient masterplan responding to the current flooding issues of the Hong Kong International Airport Island.
The Hodgkison Graduate Prize in Architecture is awarded on the basis of academic merit in the course Architectural Design Research Studio in the Master of Architecture program. The final project winner was chosen based on demonstrated integration of design, environmental, technical, theoretical and professional communication skills, and knowledge.
We are proud to support student design excellence through this annual Prize in Architecture.
