Introducing Jet O Rourke, winner of the UniSA Hodgkison prize in Architecture
We are proud to announce the recipient of our annual prize in architecture:
The UniSA Hodgkison prize was presented to Jet O’Rourke at the University of South Australia Student Prize ceremony in November 2013 for his outstanding design for the Royal Adelaide Hospital site.
“Living buildings must accommodate time and change to maintain relevance” Based on this consideration, Jet’s design for the RAH East Wing pairs a new Performing Arts Secondary School with a new Concert venue for Adelaide, adding performative value to Adelaide’s North Terrace and Botanic precinct and providing cultural tourism to the valuable RAH site.
We congratulate Jet on an exceptional effort and wish him and all graduating students well for the future.
