Shanil Hameed is based in Hodgkison’s Alice Springs office and fulfills the role of Regional Manager for the Northern Territory. He has made an exceptional contribution to the Practice and the Northern Territory over the past 12 years.
Shanil is an efficient, creative and innovative designer and a well respected architect and team leader. He has worked on Health, Education, Corporate Commercial and Indigenous Community Projects. Shanil has delivered numerous large scale and complex projects across the Territory, including the current $35M Alice Springs Hospital Redevelopment.

Alice Springs Hospital, NT
Shanil has worked on many major components of the Alice Springs Hospital, including:

Nightcliff Renal Centre, NT
Redevelopment of existing Renal Clinic in Nightcliff including 32 Renal Dialysis chairs, patient consultation areas, reception, new administrative accommodation as well as improved carparking and site landscaping.
Power and Water Corporation, NT
Project Managing officer role and Building Works Upgrades for multiple alterations across the Southern Region of PWC. Responsible for managing projects principally relating to building and civil construction in Alice Springs and Tennant Creek regions.
Araluen Arts Centre, NT
Design and documentation services for the redesign of the Paleo Room, new food preparation area for the existing Bistro, and the reconfiguration of ancillary spaces within the existing building. Works also included specialist performance space lighting and acoustic treatments to provide an enhanced rehearsal space.
